My name is Joshua Nutt, and I currently study Journalism at the University of Huddersfield. I am 19 years of age, and have always had a passionate interest in writing, where this will take me, I have no idea. At the minute, i'm enjoying the ride, and seeing where it takes me. I'm adaptable, and can currently see myself doing numerous things in journalism. I need to find my passion, and what I feel that i'm good at.
You will find my posts to be centered around my life, football, music and any work that I complete at university. The idea of 'scoping the universe' is that i'm not tied down to one subject, and it's a more general blog. Your reading of my blog really does help me out, and it helps me grow as a person as well as a journalist. Constructive criticism and compliments are always welcome.
I don't consider myself to be the best writer in the world, no, far from it. However, with hard work and a little bit of luck, i'm hoping to go into a career in journalism. If my blog goes quiet for a while, i've hit a mental block or my life has taken me elsewhere. Don't worry though, i'll always return. I'll try and construct my posts so that they read more like features in magazines, but occasionally, I may write in a more natural tone and write as if i'm talking, rather than baking lovely metaphors and whisking tasty similes.
